i was checking my campus email and found one for spanish 71 which is geared for speaking spanish in the workplace and fits with the N6/7 schedule. i was planning to take a spanish course over the summer, but think this would be a nice crash course to take instead. it's only 2.5 hrs, one day a week 2/5-5/25.
it would be fun to learn spanish with classmates from the nursing program, so i'm signing up. are you?

I actually did register for this class-thought it would be great! But it will conflict with SNA duties 2 times a month so I don't know if I can keep it...
Im taking it too.
Dano,
I almost took that and decided to take the ECG class that Fern is offering first. Have you checked that one out? I thought that would be more helpful before nursing 7 and I'll probably take the spanish over the summer.
hi rena,
i took the intro ekg class with romena last summer and figure we're going to get a crash course in ekg in n7 anyhow. from a functional standpoint, i think i'll be able to use spanish every day i work or have clinicals, but ekg will be a nice skill to have, but i won't be able to put it to use until i'm an rn on a telemetry unit, icu, or er.
cmon, donde esta el dolor, amiga? :)
maybe we could convince fern to teach the ekg class in spanish... ;)
I want to take this class too but it conflicts with LMHs 18 week new RN grad Versant program which has classroom time every Monday and Tuesday. Can I interest anybody in recording the class for me so that I can follow along? Pretty Please?
Learn Spanish and EKG at the same time? That would be interesting!!!
so far we got jodie, kristine and danO. well, at least we know drinks after class are a given. :) una mas margarita anyone?

geez bonnie, don't you ever sleep, or do you cook your own meth or something? jk.
i'll try to record if for you if you can show me how to get my pda to record for more than 10min at a time.
:)
It's a deal.
If you have the Palm Lifedrive, you can record for 999.59 minutes every time you start a new recording if you click on the save to lifedrive in the top right hand corner. You only have to do this 1 time and it will record into the hard drive every time after that. If you are wanting to save the lectures onto a CD or upload into a yahoo briefcase, try not to record for more than an hour at a time or the file is too big.
As you record the lectures, make date and time notes into your syllabus to go back to the exact moment in time for review without having to listen to the whole thing.
As for sleeping, it is overrated and I try to avoid it whenever I can. Eating and sleeping are both such a big waste of time. I would be able to do so much more if were not for those 2 annoying vices.
I am also for bringing on the Margaritas.
cervesa!!!!!
um, can we start drinking before class? that way ill be sober enough to drive home.
Jodie,
I can drive you home if you want?
Rupert
