MSF-USA: Working in the Field - FAQ

Doctors without borders....for those of you interested in helping out underserved countries. The pay is minimal about 1500 a month, however all of your expenses to the country, health insurance, housing, food etc is paid for by the foundation. This could be a wonderful oppurtunity for those of you wanting to expand your horizons and make a difference.

NCEX Review motel/hotel near UCSF

A motel/hotel you should consider:

Days Inn 415-665-9000
2600 Sloat Blv.
San Francisco, Ca. 94116

They are offering a 10% discount for students attending the NCLEX review.
1 bed is $63 plus tax per night (comes to $215.46 for 3 nights with tax)
2 bed (I think 2 queen beds) $81 plus tax per night.

This hotel/motel is about 10 minutes away from UCSF. They do require a minimum of 48 hours for cancelation.

Another motel/hotel just two blocks further from Days Inn and UCSF is th Roberts at the Beach
415-564-2610 which is offering a discounted rate of $70 plus tax per night for a single bed room. I did not ask about the double bed room.

I hope this information is helpful! Ena

Give blood for your club

Here's the deal. If a student club can get 20 folk to donate blood then they are eligible to receive $300. SNA could put that $$ to good use helping YOU with information, activities and scholarships. YOU get to help your community by providing lifesaving blood.

Details:Wednesday 4/16..... 9am-230pm in Upper Danner Hall - need photo ID with date of birth on it to donate; to save time call Barbara Barroga @ 209-954-5100 to sign up. Please identify yourself as an SNA member/supporter.

Please respond here if you can attend and donate. Many of us will be in clinicals that day and unable to attend, but pass the word and let's see if we can get a mass o' nursing talent there to support SNA and the Blood Bank!

NCLEX REVIEW SFSU

Hi guys, I'm looking for a leader in your group that would be interested in going to San Francisco for NCLEX review the first week in June. Its a 4 day class and the class will be free for you. You'll be graduating soon and need to start thinking about the board exam. After attending the review, you can pass the word around to your fellow classmates. I was told about this review course by Bonnie and my group is going to attend the review. I just wanted to pass the word down. I highly recommend this review by Davis. The group that was ahead of us that took this review and taken the boards have all passed.
If you're interested or know a leader in your group, please feel free to contact me.
