Just a random question
I recently went to the doctor and found that I have iron deficiency anemia. (I had the same problem last semester.) Anyway, she said to take 325 mg of ferrous sulfate three times a day. I took 325 mg this morning and I felt the worst nausea I've felt in a while. Does anyone have any idea what food I should take with it? I read that it should be taken on an empty stomach, but I don't know if I can do that.
Thanks,
Lindsay

Vit. C increases absorption "OJ", but I don't think that will help with your nausea. Milk, coffee, nuts, and tea inhibit absorption. Good luck
Try instead ferrous gluconate; it's less constipating and less irritating to the GI; also use it with colace, a stool softener per rph recommendation.
